Leadership Development

Leaders face unique challenges. Not only do they need to continuously pave a way that others will want to follow, they need to exude confidence and authority while doing it. Our Leadership Development Program is designed to help leaders leverage strengths and capitalize on potential.

The focus of this work is built around three areas, which we call the three C’s: commitment, competence, and character. 

  • Commitment involves identifying natural passions for work and planning career strategies;
  • Competence focuses on developing the knowledge and skills needed to perform the job and take on increased responsibilities;
  • Character addresses values, integrity, stress management, and emotional reactivity.

The Leadership Development Program takes two to three months to complete and involves:

  • Structured interviews
  • Leadership inventories
  • Development planning
  • Organizational role negotiation

In addition, ongoing coaching is offered over the course of a year to address development goals, situational issues, and provide accountability for and reinforcement of new learning. 

Case Study:
We worked with a $70MM manufacturing business for one year to assess and develop the leadership within the organization; coaching was provided as necessary to develop specific skills. We also helped form a management team, clarified roles and responsibilities, and got the team organized around a comprehensive set of goals and objectives. 

Because of our involvement:

  • The owner delegated responsibilities to individuals who were then prepared to take on more decision-making authority; 
  • Managers were better able to drive change initiatives within their departments and significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their teams.
